He didn't lie. He just made an error pasting the link. The correct
link is http://www.wingoverphoto.com/ which does have aerial
photographs of Boston.
All I did was backtrack on the link he provided and remove the
/gpage.html. Wasn't hard to figure out.

For what it is worth, he did mislead. Is it significant
that he didn't make the correction himself?

I doubt it. Too many people post a newsgroup link and never bother to
check what they've posted. Careless, but I don't think he intended to
deceive. I doubt if he thought that a digital photography group is a
big market for feather earrings.
