Your Sony (Model?) can probably capture images at several different
aspect ratios (Ratio of W/H). Your monitor may have one aspect ratio and
you are shooting pictures at a different ratio.
There is no way to force an image with an aspect ratio of say 3:2 onto a
screen with an aspect ratio of say 4:3 without either cropping the
picture or leaving some black space.
If the black space really bothers you, shoot your pics at the same
aspect ratio as your monitor screen.

The aspect ratio of my Sony camera CANNOT be changed or altered. I called
Sony technical support and was informed that the aspect ratio could only be
be changed witth application software AFTER the images were dowloaded to my
computer. There is no way to eliminate the black lines above and below the
image in the LCD screen of the camera.
