I know this is a no brainer, but to be thorough I thought I would mention
that two other possible causes of truncated images are turning off the
camera before the entire image has been written, or low battery charge so
the voltage drops below minimum durring the write process. Either one would
cut off the end of the file. I know both of these may be obvious to most of
us, but the possibilities should be noted anyway.
