Some very nice shots under awkward conditions. I say awkward being new to
night time photography myself I can appreciate how difficult it is.
Where is the Chemical plant as a matter of interest as we had a bad one in
the UK and I was wondering if it was that one.

The 2 or 3 I looked at were a bit blurred (did you use a tripod?) and were
also very "noisy". This latter fault is a problem with most digital cameras
under poor lighting conditions, and is not your fault, although you could
alleviate it to some extent by setting a low ISO number and using a long
exposure. I mean seconds, not fractions of a second. It depends very much on
the equipment as to whether you get good night shots.

No tripod. I was actually sitting in my car stopped on the side of the
highway. Thanks for the suggestions. I will take some using a tripod,
longer exposure and a lower ISO
