Hi

My son has an olympus camera with a 1gb xd card. When I put it in my
daughters c-450, it wants me to format it.

I did not format as it has my sons photos on it.

Will the c-450 take the 1gb card?

Why do I get the format message with card that works in another olympus
camera.

Thanks Colin

Probably because the C-450 doesn't work with cards as large as
1GB.  Some Olympus cameras accept 1GB xD cards, others don't.  Check
Olympus's website.  Somewhere on it they have a "compatibility" page
that shows which cameras are compatible with those cards.  My guess
is that the C-450 isn't one of those, and it might be a big mistake
to try to use it to try to format the card.

Unfortunately the C450 is not there, but in the states the same model is
the known as the D565 and, sure enough, it won't take a 1gig card

Hi

Thanks for both replies. I suspected the camera might not be compatible
with 1gb. I will contact Olympus UK to try to get confirmation
