Does anybody have experience with this lens and a nikon digital body? I've
been shooting low light action sports with a D70 using three different
lenses. This lens has the zoom range and faster speed that I most often need
in a single lens. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You might want a 85/1.4 or 70-200 VR for a low light action sport :)
I almost bought that lens, but found the AF too slow on my CAM1300 bodies.

I have used it with a fuji S2 pro, and with a D2x.

It has a good zoom range, and f2.8 means good low light performance

my only complaint is that when you point it down,
the zoom setting changes.
