Hi,

I have a Minolta Dimage 7hi, I took some photographs recently in in RAW
format. How can I open these for viewing on my PC. I have tried Adobe
Photoshop 6 and Paint Shop Pro 9 but neither will open the files.

Many thanks,

Rob Burne.

You need a plug-in for Photoshop (or PSP for that matter)
that can recognise the raw format from your Minolta, or use
a stand-alone program to convert the raw file ro one that
can be used, like a TIFF or JPEG. Have a look at these:

The Dimage Viewer that comes with the camera should open the RAW format
files. I know it is troublesome, but that is with files that have been
monkeyed around by other software. It works fine on straight from the camera
files.
