Anyone with a first hand experience or have a link to a review of a
production camera? Specs looks awesome. The reviews I've seen so far seems
to deal with preproduction models only.

There are some early user reports on the Olympus forum at dpreview.

Thanks!
Actually I've read this review and it's the best and most thorough review
I've seen so far. It was comforting for instance to read that this
photographer dismisses the reports in some early previews of the camera of
the mode dial on top being too easy to turn. Probably this is something that
has being rectified in the production models.

Obviously Simon Joinson at dpreview.com is somewhat pissed off for Oly
having not been able to supply him with a camera(!):

I thought you might have done, but I thought I'd mention it anyway,
because it is -- as you say -- a pretty thorough user review. I'd like
more information on the movie mode, but as the 550's not available
widely yet I can wait. It's an interesting camera though, and I can't
see myself resisting temptation for long... assuming the movie mode is ok.

Sadly, yes. But at least XD cards are now affordable... though nowhere
near as affordable as the other formats.

Right - they're still about 50% to 100% more. No offense, but I don't even
plan to look at Olympus until they change.
