outdoors moving targets, such as birds, animals, etc.  right now I am using
"Picture style:  Neutral".  Bright days I use ISO 400, if I set the shutter
speed, it is usually 1/500   Any advice?

If you shoot in RAW mode, you can ignore picture style; it's correctible in
DPP (or, presumably, other decent editors).

ISO 400 works well, even outdoors. But I wouldn't use it on a bright day
unless the shutter speed required it. I've had fairly good results indoors
with ISO 800, but haven't used it outdoors.
