Absolutely amazing how much it's gone to sh.t, in large part due to
Rich A(sshole) and the morons who feel the need to respond to him.

Hey Rich, you do know you're f.cking up this group, right?  Never
mind, it's rhetorical.

RichA is annoying, but if he's the worst troll in this group it's
pretty tame by Usenet standards.

You can always try dpreview. There are _never_ any trolls there.

I would not say troll so much as perpetual whiner.

Nawww. I am sure there are things out there that make you feel all
warm and fuzzy.....

You are just too consumed with your hatred to see them and appreciate
them. You will get tired one day and just give up the fight. Hatred
and anger are like that. They are very taxing. Problem is that they
don't usually wear one down until they have thrown away the best part
of life.

I know of what I speak and I hope that you wear down very soon.

You also failed humanity 099 and sociology 101. A one dimensional baby.

I have put the cry-baby in my mark as read file so I can ignore him.
With the subject line I had to peek. I tried at first to plow through
his pots for some kernel of value but they were so far apart that it's
just not worth the volumes of BS for an occasional good thought. he is a
flavor of troll with a primary ax to grind but at least stays on his ad
nauseam topic and posts from a single ID an easy to filter out. Some
people need attention, even negative to get by. Usually the acting out
is filterout by fourth grade but some sneak through the cracks. He
reminds me of Al Sharpton where every issue is race related.

In general this group has minimal signal-to-noise at least for a USENET
group. The only way to get less is to go to  moderated forum. As with
moderated groups you never know what may be being filtered out. I'll
take unmoderated and filter out the irritating chaff.

It's like summoning a demon on dpreview. All you have to do is
criticize something they sell more than once.

And, of course, your response is a big help in building up the group.
If we are morons, you're one step below gibbering idiot.

Egggsxxx-shully, this time, no one is responding to "him". But about
him. Perhaps should expand to stalkers and fanbois??

Sure 95% of what he posts is utter crap, but at least it stimulates
on-topic discussion. Better than the Annika vs D-Mac flame wars that are
happening in most of the other photography groups.

That's retorical Doug. I've killed the bastards! Kill Filed, that is. ANd
taken John William's advice by reverting to my given name to post.

Hey Douglas, how the hell did you find enough energy to play with Bret all
this time?  I've only done it for a short time and I'm beyond bored.  He
doesn't even come up with original material.  I'm hoping he'll kick it up a
few notches or I'll have to start ignoring him as well.

He's a light weight mate. I never set out to tease him, just tried to offer
some constructive criticism. Trouble is he can't take that. Instead of going
away and learning and coming back with some examples that he actually
understood the concept of the craft, he figured it would be easier to get
rid of the critics.

Fancy picking on a wedding photographer. Christ mate, we live or die on
bitchiness. This industry has some real masters at putting people down. I've
survived 40 years of it and he thinks his pathetic effort is likely to work?
Not in this lifetime. He's just an amateur. Both in his photography and his
stunts.

If you enjoy playing with him, go for it. He's got nothing left in his bag
of tricks with me and I've lost interest. How bad is that? He's given out
his best shot and it missed! ROTFL.

Shalom, or whatever,

LOL!  I'm coming to the realization that he's retarded.  I'm to the point
that I'm beyond feeling sorry for him that I can only show pity towards him.

The amazing fact that your boy Bret can't comprehend is that your
photography is directed at a targeted audience that *PAYS* for your
services.  It's different when you have three or four newsgroup imbeciles
oohing and awing over mediocre crap in respects to getting paid for your
work.  Bret's a jealous child that is very insecure about his work.  Hell,
he might find it doesn't even par up to mediocre when it goes up against the
big boys.

It would be nice if he was a challenge, but I'll I'm seeing is posturing and
name calling.  He thinks he's onto something since he sniffed out a few
breadcrumbs I left for the idiots in the eBay group.  He might have some
intelligence and claim the prize.  I really hope he's up to it.  I'm betting
he doesn't have the balls since there is no ocean to separate us.  Ball is
in his court.  I'll let him make the first move.

I can empathize a bit with your frustration but maybe consider
filtering out the things (personality types) you don't like.

I've found this group contains several experienced, nice and helpful
people.

Just put up the filter and you'll be fine.  8-)
