Something Bad About the 580EX II?

One person talked about how it does not have a quick turn off for slave
units like the 580EX that came before it had.
This may not be a problem for any of you or it might be.
the only example I read about was when he was taking wedding pictures - the
Groom dipped the Bride during the first dance
exposing the slave flash behind them that was facing the camera.  I can
kinda picture what the result was.
I think the difference he talked about was that the older flash had a slave
on/off switch on the flash while with the 580EX II you must use the cameras
menu to shut off the slave units.

That problem identified as an issue in a review on B&H.  It might be a
problem for a few people, but not many.  Most people wouldn't be
facing a flash into their own face with a dancing couple.  Besides,
you could move to a new position quite quickly.

BTW, you make the flash adjustments on the flash's menu, not the
cameras.

All true but maybe its due to my newbieness,
It will not be a problem for the kind of work I do but if i was doing
parties and such I think
faster controls are better.  Ok I stalled enough.. time to put my gear on
and ride around in the rain.
