Are the D80 & D70 batteries interchangeable?

The D70 originally (at least when I bought mine) shipped with the EN-EL3/A
battery but will take the newer EN-EL3E as well. The D80 takes the EN-EL3E
(as does the D200, which I have). On the D200, it won't take the older
batteries...I'm assuming the D80 probably isn't backwards compatible either.
But, if you only wish to have one set of batteries, buy EN-EL3E batteries.
They can be charged by either the MH-18 (D70 charger) or the MH-18a (D200
charger, probably what comes with the D80 as well).

The D80 battery has three contacts and the D80 cannot use the 2 contact
battery.

D80 uses EN-EL3e, D70 uses EN-EL3. You can put an EN-EL3e in a D70, but you
can't put an EN-EL3 in a D80.

Does that apply to the D70S also?
Thanks,
