Hello...
I have just acquired a GX10 and would like to try out some of my older
Pentax 35mm lenses on the camera.
When I attach one I cannot get it to work, the shutter release button
just causes the LCD to flash "F_ _" without releasing the shutter
and taking a picture.
What do I need to do to get any of these K mount Pentax lenses to work
with this camera?
Thanks

1. RTFM ;-)
2. Change the custom setting to allow the use of the
aperture ring.
3. RTFM again for how the stop-down metering works.
(Basically M mode only, set aperture then press the green
button to set shutter speed).

Thanks for the pointers..... I don't think that I would have
stumbled across the correct procedure from reading the manual, though
now I am better informed I will have another go at getting my head
around the huge number of settings on this camera.
Thanks

You need to change the Custom2 Menu function 'Use Aperture Ring' to
'On,' switch to manual metering mode, and use the green button to meter.
