Is there a copy of the Nikon MC-36 Multifunction release posted
somewhere on the web?

"Rumor" has it there is but I can't find it.  Nothing from Goggle
either.

Any help is appreciated!  TIA.

About halfway down this page is a link to the PDF manual :

> MC-36 10-pin Remote Release (supports D2-series, D1-series,
> D200, D100 w/MB-D100)

http://support.nikontech.com/cgi-bin/nikonusa.cfg/php/enduser/popup_adp.php?p_re

Same link split into three parts if the one liner causes problems :

http://support.nikontech.com/cgi-bin/nikonusa.cfg/php/enduser/popup_adp.php?

You're welcome.  I'm disappointed though that the long list of
manuals doesn't include one for my old speedlight.  In addition to
the new SB-x00 flashes for digital cameras, it includes those for
the SB-22 through SB-80DX, but not for my old SB-24.

As you are probably aware, there is a crude copy here:
http://www.lensinc.net/manuals/SB24_user.PDF

I think Nikon spent the resources earmarked for making a .PDF for the
SB-24 on printing the manual for this MC-36.  It's 182 pages of which
maybe 10 are actual english instructions.

Thanks again for your help.

No, I wasn't, but it's more than good enough.  The text and
diagrams and drawings are very legible, and only the photos are
problematical, but even if they were excellent copies, the photos
could be dispensed with without much loss.  The only real drawback
compared to Nikon's PDF files is not being able to do text searches.
