Interesting, but does anyone really use PS to remove noise as opposed
to dedicated programs or plug-ins?

I only use ACR and CS2. I've tried several plug-ins, and I really like
Noise Ninja. I found I really don't need anything other than CS2.
What do you use?

Neat Image. Also, Paint Shop Pro's NR combined with about 13%
sharpening for images that don't really need Neat Image.

I use the excellent noise-reduction function in Paint Shop Pro. Although
I've not made direct comparisons myself, others report that it is as good
as the 3rd-party software. It has the advantage of being free with PSP,
of course.
