This is truly insane!  They already have the firmware cracked and made major
improvements to the firmware of the Mk III.  This must be an unauthorized
Canon release or somebody at Canon is very marketing savvy!

It brings back memories.  It was simple and, well, BASIC.  It's amazing to
see that there are still people that play this classic.

Yup, very sad. I wonder how they would like it to be treated in the same
way? One thing's for sure, it doesn't take much to bring out the worst
in some people on Usenet. Scary.

LOL!  You do bring up a good point; there are way too many uptight people in
these groups not enjoying their equipment or life.  I'm glad I can enjoy my
equipment and buy whatever I want when I want it.  I'm so glad I don't have
a single uptight fiber in my body.  That said, I wish Nikon would put a
gaming mode in their upcoming D3 line.

Yep, and my kids used to love playing it with me as well - ISTM a much
better introduction to computer games for littlies than the usual
shoot-em-ups.

Naah, you misread the whole thing.  That is actually the
newest Nikon/Pentax/Sigma firmware ...
