Microsoft has indicated that the final service pack for XP (SP3, due later this year or early next year) will include DirectX 10. Even though both Microsoft and nVidia say there are drivers available for my nVidia Quadro FX4400 video card, none of the versions come close to working properly. Drivers for many other devices are even worse or not available at all. Sure glad I did the dual boot thing with my pre-existing XP Pro x86. Lightroom works fine as well [I guess they note an issue, but it hasn't affected me and I don't recall what it is]. SignatureThomas T.
