Rumour has it that Olympus make an adapter allowing the use of older
Olympus OM-series lenses on E-system cameras. They are not actually
advertising it, but it is understood that price should be somewhere in
the region of $200. Some even state Olympus will send you one free of
charge if you show them proof of purchase and your warranty card.

Anyone who asks in the US at least has received one for free from olympus. I
just emailed them the serial number off the camera and my address. I know
=I= didn't have any problem getting them to send one, came in less than a
week at no charge, they even paid the shipping. Comes with a list of
"supported" lenses and the recomended f stop range to use for best quality
on a dSLR.

It's true. I received one for free, about a week after I emailed them
a scan of my warranty-card with the serialnumber. Bought a 50mm f1.8
"Made in Japan" OM lens for a dime and a nickel and I am in prime-glass
heaven now.
You've been posting various things and questions about Olympus E cameras
for months now.. How come you still haven't bought one? It's hard to find
better value for money than the E-300 at moment. Excellent kit-lens, anti-
dust system, RAW-performance that isn't too far off 20D performance up to
ISO 400 and very usable up to ISO 800. And a great Zuiko 40-150mm lens
usually thrown in with the kit almost for free.
Go for it!

I recently called Olympus America up, and requested the OM adaptor. They said
it was currently back ordered, but they would ship it out for free when they
got new stock. I needed to give them the serial number of the camera. I had
registered the camera previously, so I don't know if they require proof of
warranty. Note, there are complaints that other Olympus national centers don't
give out the adaptor.
If you have Nikon, Pentex, Yashica/Contax, Leica R, Olympus OM, or Exakta
lenses, you can order the appropriate adaptor for $175:
