I am in the market for a telephoto lens for my Canon EOS 300D. I found the sigma 135-400 APO and 170-500 APO which are in my price range. Can anybody recommend either of these? The going price on eBay is approximately £250 for the 135-400 and about £350 for the 170-500. If anyone can recommend anything else in this range it would be most appreciated. I skipped math in high school. OK? > You should be able to find the Sigma 70-300mm lens w/macro for under 200. I have seen this lens however there are 2 things which are deterring me from getting it. First of all, I want more than 300mm and secondly I have heard that this lens isnt as good quality as the ones I specified... I've had the Sigma 135/400 for about five years now and rate it very highly indeed, it's the first lens out for landscape work, needs tripod, for best work Good Luck with it |
