I know I saw a message in this group about converting PAL Videos to
NTSC but at the time I wasn't dealing with PAL. It seems I was short
sighted.

Now I have two PAL DVD videos that will play on my computer DVD player
but not on my home DVD player that plays on the projection screen.

19" LCD just doesn't cut it when you have a 108" screen to watch!
Help! Is there a program or method to convert PAL videos to NTSC?
Thanks for your help in advance!

You can re-render in a video editor.  But it may be easier to buy a
cheap DVD player that DOES handle PAL.    Most British models play
NTSC as well as their native PAL.  I'm sure wherever you are a
multi-standard player is available.

This couldn't be a region problem?   Commercial videos?

Consult Google groups.

This is not a video group.

G'luck.

Most digital cameras nowadays have video capabilities,
and just looking at the manual for my Sony W100 it
has a provision in the Set-Up to change the output video
to either PAL or NTSC. The OP was talking about DVDs, maybe there is
some pass through capability.

You can buy stand alone PAL/NTSC/SECAM converters, or
some of the DVD players have the capability.

It is not easy to do a conversion. I did find out that dvd decrypter
will let you change the PAL to NTSC info and fool your player into
thinking it is NTSC. You get some jumping from time to time but it will
play, but keep in mind it was never converted. You are just telling your
dvd player it is NTSC and so it thinks it is and tries to play it. The
best thing to do is get a player that will play both. They are cheap.
