One good thing about having photography as a hobby is that you always have
an answer when people ask you what you want for christmas!   A new lens must
be one of the best camera related gifts any day, and it would be difficult
to have too many lenses!   You must be pleased to be able to upgrade from
the basic kit lens and looking forward to getting out and using it properly.
I was lucky enough to get the Nikkor 35mm f2.0 which I have wanted for a
while now, and have been searching for things around the house to put it to
the test and have taken a quick test shot of my second most favourite gift:

Hi Adrian
If you are having difficulty drinking your 12 year old single malt -    I
may be able to help you out    :-)

My taste in lenses and scotch is beyond the budget of my family and
friends... <sigh>.  I got a new tie though...

I did pick up a 12 y Bowmore, duty free, at Schiphol airport at a huge
saving over the overtaxed Cdn. price last week, however...

Cheers,
Alan

I gave one of my contacts up North a bottle a Penderyn single malt
recently - had an email from him this morning thanking me for introducing
him to it. Not being a whisky drinker I only have his word as to how good it
is.
