Where did the Pentax digal 645 go?

I was reading something the other day that said this camera was going
to get a 30 megapixel sensor, but I don't think the 18 megapixel ever
went on sale.

This camera had potential. As close to a 35mm camera as medium formats
have gotten,
and Kodak built the chip for it. It might have been the same weight as
a 1DsMkII

Pentax will likely drop it as the market is dead for a Pentax 645 dSLR.

Well the attraction was similar to that of the first *ist D: You could
use your inventory of lenses on it.
