Where are you that you only have to wait one week? Last info I saw has the
K10D not being released until 15 Jan 2007.

Where did you see that info? Pentax site has always said 15 Nov

There still seems to be some debate over when the camera will hit the
streets, but I've never seen any claims of January - it's more a
question of whether it will make it in November or not. My guess is if
some store is claiming January, it's either because that particular
store is trying to play it safe, or perhaps they have so many pre-orders
that they expect to sell out their initial shipment based on that, and
might not have any additional units for *new* orders until after
Christmas.

I have a feeling that there a few Pentax users looking to get an early
Christmas present, would be sad if supply did not keep up with demand. :-)
