I'm in the market for a wide angle lense but I have absolutely no where
to start. I have a D70 (kit with lens) and as a boon picked up the
Nikkor 60mm and 105mm micro lenses for some macro work.

Any suggestions on a wide angle lense?

thanks

If I could only have one wide angle lens it would be the 17-35/2.8.

The 12-24mm DX lens.  It is on my camera most of the time.

Tokina 12-24/4...I returned my Nikkor 12-24 for it.  At half the price
it is almost indistinguishable from the Nikkor...except on focusing
speed.  But the wide angles focus quickly anyway...

I purchased the Nikkor 12-24 instead of the Tokina. The cost savings is
significant with the Tokina but being a newbie I'm going to side with
caution and roll with the Nikon product. I've never read anthing but
positive reviews concnerning their lenses (inside and out).

I think my next purchase ( a few months out) will be the 105mm DC.

Thanks all!
