The D80 at 1600 ISO!

In my opinion the D80 at 1600 ISO is more than capable of providing
excellent results, as shown in the above article.

not that intresing, becaus @jpgs you have a high noise supression ;)
raw would be more intresting ..

I think your choice of an actual subject rather than a 'test card' is a good
one, it is true to say RAW format files would give a better indication, but
your jpegs pretty much speak for themselves.
In conditions where high sensitivity is a must, most modern DSLRs will
perform well at ISO1600, but I think you have shown that the grain structure
on files produced from the D80 is more like film than most other DSLRs
currently available.

I think it's a very good, capable camera that will make its owners very
happy.

I'm very happy with the high ISO performance (as can be seen in the
sample pics).
