I've Googled...hunted...and failed...

Does anyone know of a source for LARGE albums which will display 12x18
photos...preferably without extra space...specifically for 12x18 or larger
3:2 ration prints?  I'm talking about albums with covered pages made for
displaying prints...but that will hold LARGE images..

Thanks for any info,

Mark

Mark,
Go to an art supply store.  I've bought black art portfolio
books of various sizes, up to something like 20x24.  They come
in various models, some expensive that zip up so your work is well
protected, to simple ones that is more like a book.  Prices
range from $25 and up (e.g. for a 13x19 inch size that
has about 20 pages holding 40 photos).

Don'tcha got Blick down there?
{I gave similar answer in a related group that many of us read.} I much
prefer x-posting to multi-posting.}

It's tough to please everyone.  :(
Lots of folks filter out any post that is cross-posted...

Well, you gotta please yourself.... I heard that in a song. But
filtering all x posting is rather, uh, limiting, if not crude.

Next time, how 'bout waiting 24 hours or so to see if you get responses
or not.

What would be the benefit of that?
I've received input from a variety of folks...many of which don't frequent
each group.
If it bothers you, surely it takes less time to ignore it than it takes to
talk me out of it...

The benefit is for those of us who read all the groups.

I hold no hope in talking you out of it, not for my sake, that is. One
day. One day.

Coach: "Are you just ignorant, or merely apathetic?"

One reason I posted as I did is because I REALLY need to find a solution
ASAP in this case.
-Doesn't look like that's going to happen.

I just went and dug up the black binder I got from Blick a year ago.
It's made by Itoya, called the Evolution. They had a variety of sizes,
but the one I have is, alas, 8.5 x 11. Alas 'cause I don't know the
other sizes.

Ya, I've seen those.  They are OK for storage, or utilitarian display, but
they make for a pretty cheezy showpiece...with the flimsy plastic cover and
crinkly sheet protectors which have a rather muddy grey (less-than-clear)
look to them.  I'm looking for an album-quality book, but in large 12x18 or
13x19 ratio.

-Beginning to believe it just doesn't exist.

The Itoya I got from Blick in Oakland isn't either the one linked above,
nor the professional styling on related pages, and it isn't tacky. The
Pro model they show- and why they do it with the display tag on the
front I don't know- but it might be very decent. Take another look.

I went ahead and ordered a few of those...mainly because I've found nothing
else...and to at least give them a try.

I'll keep looking...

Then good hunting :-)

If the hunt takes too long maybe you should consider crafting your own.
Half the battle, at least, of designing a product is knowing what you
want... you've got that down.
