Have been wondering much the same thing. The Pentax/Samsung looks very
appealing to me because of the weather seals. Was pretty much sold on
getting a D80 until the Pentax  came out. I'm interested in
opinions/perspectives on the Pentax K10D vs Nikon D80. To date I have
not seen a full review/test on this new Pentax.

Thats because you can't buy one yet, maybe mid October if you are lucky. I
have one ordered and they are hoping for around then. What lens are you
considering? I already have a 16-45mm ED AL among others and because it is
such a nice sharp lens I am jumping out of my skin for it to arrive.

I've held them and they are very impressive. Much larger, more solid and
professional body than either the Sony A100 or the Nikon D80 - miles
more so than the Canon 400D, which I've got here now (it's TINY). The
K10D basic build is much more substantial than the other Pentax DSLRS.

First impressions - I'm impressed.

Sounds all good. I am for sure going to wait until I can get my hands
on one of these.
