Just watch what price this thing goes to.  I think it cost about $450
new.

We are taking bets, though, on both when he gets a camera and when he'll
post any pictures he's actually taken.

And then there's the pool on how many threads he can keep going in a week.

I have metaphorically fallen, and can't get up.

What is sadder still is that you are mistaken.

Actually Rich I have never ever owned a Canon, never!

Nikon people tend to be less defensive about what they own than Canon
owners.  I don't know why.

Even if you thought you did, you'd be wrong. Even if you were right, I,
for one, wouldn't care.

Probably because you also don't grasp statistics. There are simply
more Canon users, so people like you tend to provoke them more often.
I agree it's sad if people get their craving for attention satisfied
by provocation rather than personal accomplishments.

Can't agree. Whatever group you are on, moderated or unmoderated,
Canonites are the most irrational.

I suppose you're going to follow this up with examples of your own
work, just to avoid the label, "hypocrite?"

Okay, but only because you asked nicely:

Your turn Rich, but no shots from inside camera stores again, be daring,
step outside the shop with one.

And before Rich guesses wrong about my shooting location, he could
look at the reflection in the eye (full size detail of another shot of
the same bird):

The late afternoon sun is the single lightsource in the sky, as it was
starting to set over the tree tops on the horizon of the farm lands.

Besides, this would also be hard to do in a shop ;-)

And I bet most of them took perfectly good photos and the cameras would not
have cared what size your hands were?? ;-)

Did you see my post about the 12x18 print I had done today, have it framed
up, I must say it came out really well. :-)
Joan - 25 Sep 2006 13:25 GMT
They took/take the shots the operator allowed them to.  The latest one
seems to have taught the operator more than the other 4 put together.

Yeah, I did see the post.  Was it printed on a Fuji?

Yes, Fuji at my local Fletchers, $9.95, but the frame was $60 and the trip
to South West WA was about $60,000. ;-(

The thing I find most interesting about this is that all the bidders
have practically zero feedback, they either don't know what they are
doing or they are bogus "shill" accounts put on eBay just to drive up
the price of an item (or to prove someone's point about metal cameras).

The last Olympus C7070 I saw on Ebay went for just over $1000 or
nearly three times it's original cost.  It was the last high quality
P&S Olympus made before everything turned to crappy plastic.

Sure it did Rich, the only person in the world stupid enough to do something
like that would be you and I just can't bring myself to believe that you are
that stupid, really!
