Quick question.  I haven't noticed it in my photos but there is a piece of
lint/dust on the inside of the front element of my 70-200 lens.  It's close
to the middle of the element.  Will I not notice it because of it being
heavily blurred?  If it is a problem can most camera stores pull the front
element off to clean it?

Thanks,
Greg

If it's on the front element, you probably won't notice it unless you're
shooting a patch of uniform color.  Even then, because of the focus
point, it will probably appear as a faint smudge over a fairly sizable
area.

I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but if you do notice it popping up in
photos, I'm sure your local Canon dealer will know what to do.

Try to bring it into focus in the viewfinder against a light and dark
background... not even a hint of it, right?  Ignore it.  Lenses, even internal
zoom lenses breath and little bits of dust are always moving around.

Cheers,
Alan
