Will their lenses be able to keep up with the pixel pitch?  They'll
need dead-sharp optics for that thing, if it actually comes out.
Olympus "kit" optics are very good, for kit lenses but it looks like
anyone buying the E-3 will need to use the pro optics to maximize the
resolution.
14 megapixels at 4/3rds is like having a FF with around 50 megapixels.

You might want to check out my updated page:

In particular, see Figures 6 and 7, which are new.
They might make one rethink wanting all those small pixels.

Isn't that a lot like asking, "If a frog had wings, would it still bump
its butt when it landed?"

Well regardless of any details, you'll never have one.

I've got the E-1.  If the E-3 comes out I'll get it.

I wonder why you don't aspire to a proper camera?

That's a loaded question.  To some people, the only proper camera is a
Canon.
To some Canon owners, the only proper camera is a FF Canon.
Some people would never waste their time with a DSLR and they'd go
right to
a 39 megapixel medium format.  On the bottom end, where is the cut off
point?

A rare loss for Helen. I believe Rich got you on this one. Helen

I haven't been at the bottom end of digital photography since my first
digital, a Kodak DC280, bought for personal use when I was a medical
photographer using film.  To this day my best camera remains my Fuji GX680,
for which I'm now interested in the digital back.  THAT will be a proper
digital camera.  Meanwhile I continue to get great digital results from my
FF Canons.
