Where on the Adobe site can I get the RAW plugin for Nikon D70 for Photoshop
6 & Photoshop Elements V1 that came with the camera. I've tried various
plugin downloads but they seem to be for CS2.

The plugins which are part of the Nikon supplied software should work.
however, imo I wouldn't waste my time as the allow only the very most basic
adjustments and imo aren't worth shooting in raw for. You will need to
upgrade to take advantage of ACR supporting the D70. Have no idea where you
got PS6 or PSE1 with the camera because that's not normally bundled with
the D70, either Nikonview or Picture Project is. Either of which can be
dl'd from the Nikon Tech site.

I'm not sure you'll be able to use the D70 files with Photoshop 6 or
Elements 1. If you can will have to convert them to the Adobe Digital
Negative (DNG) format using the DNG converter. The DNG files can be read by
Photoshop, but I think it requires PS 7 or better. IIRC the converter is in
the same download as the ACR plug-in.
Check this link  http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html  for
more information.

If you have a fast computer you may want to look at the free for now Adobe
Lightroom beta. This will let you convert the RAW files to other formats,
that Photoshop 6 can handle.

The ACR plugins will only work with PSCS, the latest with PSCS2. The
next one coming out only with PSCS3. You can upgrade your PS6 for $160,
well worth it. PSCS2 is a nice upgrade from PS7, which was a nice
upgrade from PS6. I don't believe ACR worked with PSE until PSE3, and
then in a slightly truncated manner. I have had Photoshop since version
3 and only upgraded every other step, and each time the functionality
improvements have been a good move.
