Broken Nikon D70 F-min Switch

The F-min switch on my Nikon D70 has snapped off. (see
http://nikoneurope-en.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nikoneurope_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_ad
p.php?p_faqid=1157
).

I called Nikon Support here in the UK only they were next to useless -
they couldn't offer an estimate (despite this being quite a common
repair I guess), and couldn't even give me a timescale for getting an
estimate to me if I were to send the camera body in to them.

So... can anyone in the UK tell me how much they've paid to have their
F-min switch repaired by Nikon UK?

Many thanks,

James

Any way you can just jam something in there to make it always appear to
be tripped? It is simply a reminder that your lens hasn't been turned to
minimum f-stop. I'm guessing you'd have to remove that for newer lenses
lacking a manual aperture setting. I've got a broken D70 for parts but
it doesn't look like an easy operation. Note that the D200 doesn't have
this thing (not that it matters to you).
