There are reputable dealers even in the Far East. Columbia Photo in the
Philippines has a good reputation, for example, despite stiff
competition from American resellers like B&H which do not have to pay
the stiff Filipino VAT.

I just checked this site and saw they offer the Nikon D200 for US
$530. I had to double-check that listing. That's like about 1/4 of
the US price! Sheesh, for that price, I could fly over from the US
and buy one over the counter. Of course I wouldn't have the Nikon USA
warranty ...
