Yes.  They're marketed as photo printers however.  ;-)

Sorry, couldn't resist.  But seriously, what application would a
polaroid back be useful for in a digital world?    Polaroids are
typically used to verify staging or lighting quickly on location
witout having to process and print, but with digital... it's a lot
easier to verify what you've got by pushing "print."

And not only that -- where would you attach such a back?   A 35mm film SLR
has a hinged back that can be taken off (in the case of those camera models
that allow you to easily remove the camera back). There is no similar
functionality to most DSLRs because there is no need for the user to open
the camera body.

The Nikon F and F2 had a slide off back that could be replaced with a
250 exposure back or a Polaroid back.

Sure, you just need camera with a removable the back. The only SLR
cameras with this ability are Nikon professional film bodies with
removable backs or the medium format SLR that will accept a film back
and a digital back. There are also view cameras with the ability to
accept digital back, Polaroid backs and film backs.

take the digital back off your mamiya or blad and put your polaroid back on,
what's the problem?

I miss polaroids, I miss sharing the image with the subject, talking to them
about the pose and expression, turning a body that needed to be poked and
prodded into possition and coaxed into an animated state, into an active
partner in the creative process.   I do believe those 'roids sold as many
wall prints as the projectors did.
