Hi All

Been planning to get the 350D for a few months, but heard recently that

a new series of digital SLRs from major manufacturers may be released
this Autumn. I see Nikon have got one coming. Anyone know about Canon's

plans?

Wouldn't want to get the 350D and see it upgraded 2 months later! ;-)

Cheers

Paul

And apparently has already reached the shops, at least in the UK...

I think you can pretty well assume that in the digital market.
something new, better and usually less expensive will be released
within a year.   Buying a digital is sort of a Grin and Bear it
process.  You can wait forever until the "next" camera comes out, or
you can buy one today and have fun with it.

As you say, one has to accept that your camera will be obsolete
in a very short time -- if you take new models as making the old
ones obsolete.

I'd think that one way to approach this is to do your best to
buy a camera that suits your needs.  And then plan on skipping
the next model -- or the next two models for sure and buying
the model after that only if it has features you need worth
the *entire purchase price* to you.

Invest in lenses instead.
