Prefrebly somewhere that has one in stock.

London Camera Exchange in Southampton (Civic Centre branch) are a Canon pro
dealer.
02380 221 597

There's also Calumet on 09000 96 43 96 which has some branches around the UK
as well as selling by post.

If you do try the dealer in Goodmayes then do check the price - I've found
he is usually more expensive than competitive dealers.

Good hunting and please let us know how you go on.

Regards,  Ian.

Hi again.

Glad to be of help. Went to that store a couple of years ago with a friend
who wanted a nice secon-hand IX7 outfit they were advertising. The store
said it couldn't transfer the outfit to our local LCE here in Nottingham
hence the drive. Catch was that we didn't stop at buying the outfit. My
friend also bought a reasonably priced second-hand Canon flashgun and we
both lusted (!) after some of  those nice large, telephoto Canon lenses.

While I remember - York Cameras in London (020 7831 8082, 18 Bury Place,
near the British Museum) have a good stock of old and obsolete Canon
goodies. I'd bought a lovely IX body from LCE in Nottingham and I got the
matching ever-ready case from York. Price was reasonable - £34ish - because
it was new stock. I did get, for £5, a second-hand case for my IX7 from LCE
here in Nottingham.

Regards, Ian.

I bought mine from B&H, and they ship internationally quite well...
It's a cheap item, so duty shouldn't be much of a factor.
