Anyone have the EW-83J lens hood for this lens, who could measure the
outside diameter of the hood for me?...would like to purchase the hood
and also a Lowepro lens case that fits lens with the hood inverted on
the lens, so I need to know the diameter the case needs to accomodate!
(Tried Canon phone support...they didn't have info.  Tried store...they
didn't have hood!)

I've got one heree. 4 1/4" or just the slightest bit over that is the
max measurement across the front of the hood.

If the case is 4 3/8" dia you'll be good.

Best Regards,

Much appreciation, Tom.  Now I can shop for the right lens case.
