RichA - 21 Aug 2006 02:37 GMT The rest more little silver consumer P&S models. Too bad. http://www.dpreview.com/articles/photokina2006/

It appears that the product development cycle is becoming less and less tied to the big shows.

So *nothing* has been announced at Photokina yet, and *nothing* will be until the show starts on September 26th.
mark.thomas.7@gmail.com - 21 Aug 2006 06:12 GMT Nice one Rich.
"This year the show will take place from 26th September to 1st October (10 AM to 6 PM). As usual the build up of new products for Photokina started back in July and is only likely to accelerate as we get closer to the opening day."
In other words, over a month away. Read, and think, before engaging keyboard... (O;

Mark B. - 21 Aug 2006 11:29 GMT > The rest more little silver consumer P&S models. Too bad. > http://www.dpreview.com/articles/photokina2006/ That's just the pre-show announcements so far. Since Photokina hasn't even started, I'd say just the opposite - looks like it's off to a good start.

I can only guess why RichA timed his 'contribution' just before Canon's first official Photokina 2006 announcements, presumably later this week ...

I can't recall the last time he had anything nice to say about anything. All news is bad news...

Isn't there enough Canon boosterism here for you?

But my daughter came to me asking for camera advice. I told her all the pros and cons of the different cameras, but she bought a Canon anyway. I said, "Why did you do that? It is just going to get beat up, the lenses will fall apart, the sensor will quit working, and it will eventually die on you completely." And she said, "Yes, but with a Canon, who cares?"

Keep telling yourself that. BTW; Where is a link to pictures you've taken?

Don't you listen? I've told you before.

Bill, I'm no longer a medical photographer, but are you REALLY sure you don't want to see my series on cholecystectomies? I have a fine collection of total knee replacements but, unfortunately, RichA, not on any website.

Don't you listen? I've told you before. I didn't thing you would. But then mediocre wedding shots aren't something generally worth seeing.
