Remove the small 3 volt memory backup cell which is also inside the
battery compartment. Wait a couple of minutes and replace.

Have you made sure the battery cover and CF card slot covers are both
closing and latching correctly?  The camera won't operate if it thinks
either cover is open.

Wilson-

Does it turn on with the CF card removed?  If so, you might have a bad card.

ok thanks, but still no luck...

i have tried all ...
- removing the little batterie and wait something like 15 minutes
- the battery and CF card doors are well closed
- i also tried with no CF card in the slot...

is there a cold boot or a "reset" button somewhere ? ;-)

Wilson.

This has happened to me too!! It happened while I was taking a shot...I
saw a red light in the eyepiece and now it won't turn on. It's like the
battery went dead.

The battery and card slot doors are both shut and I tried removing the
round battery as well for a few minutes. Plus I made sure the main
battery was charged. Any more ideas?
