I have a Olympus E-Volt e-500 and Promaster 5750 with olympus Digital
TTL module.
I've read both manual for flash and camera, but I can't get the flash
to 'work'. The ready light on the flash comes on, but the TTL light
never does, nor does the flash fire.
The flash miodule says "OM Digital".
Am I missing something painfully obvious?
Thanks.

I have an e-300, not the e-500, but you do have the flash enabled,
right? On the main setup screen the lightning bolt is not circled and
crossed out. I push the (lightning bolt) button, and roll the wheel.

Yep...
And flash is working now, but not getting a TTL light on the flash.
Might have a bad module?

Make sure you have the right module. I believe their have been at least 4
Promaster modules for Olympus. There was the module for the cameras with the 5
pin TTL adaptor (#9901), there was a module for the E-10/E-20 and some of the
older C-xxxx cameras (#1045), this module was replaced with a newer one
(#9837), and there is a new module for the E-300, E-500, E-330 and the SP-350
(#5425).
I suspect you have a #9837 module and you need a #5425 module.
