Today a narrow light band has started to appear across the top of all
my images. This hasn't happened before today, but it occurs whichever
lens I use. The band appears marginally wider on the right of the
image than on the left. I would really appreciate any advice anyone
can offer as to what might be causing it and.or if there is anything I
could try to remedy it before sending it back to Canon.
Many thanks
Gordon

Any reference images you've posted?

Let me guess, you used a shutterspeed faster than, say, 1/250th of a
second and it gets worse with faster shutter speeds.

I have the same, and it is related to shutter bounce, a defect. If you
use high shutter speeds you'll see it and it can be fixed by having
the shutter mechanism replaced.
