Super Zooms  Panasonic FZ7 vs Canon S3

Which did you buy and why?  Any other worth looking at?  Samsung 815?  Fuji
S9000?  Panasonic FZ30?

Want at least 300 mm long range
Want image stabilization
Would lighter weight camera get more use?

This is off-topic for this group - you could ask in rec.photo.digital.zlr

The better image quality of the Panasonic FZ5 and its use of SD cards and
Li-ion battery suited me more than the slightly gimmicky Canon S2 IS at
the time I purchased.  I've been delighted with the camera, its light
weight, and excellent results.  Doesn't beat a good SLR and lens outfit,
of course!
