Hello
A few person have complained that my usual web design
http://olelarsen.eu/18/index.html
causes scrolling on small lap tops screens
In order to make it possible to view small as well as larger images, I´m
trying a new design
http://olelarsen.eu/PortaTest/album/index.html
Notice, please, that there are 3 ways to view (upper left) and that
you enlarge by clicking an image.
How does it work?
TIA

Both look okay to me. I have a 17" notebook, though. The second one
loads faster. Very nice photos.

With a 17" screen you should not have problems with any of them.
Thanks

Both display just fine on my laptop (15" UXGA screen)...but I prefer the
second one.

Oh...several with 15" screen have complained that they have to scroll on
the first, to see a whole image. Strange..
Thanks

Not strange to me. It's not the size that matters :) but the screen
resolution. i.e. 800x640 vs 1024x768 as well as the font size of the
computer and browser.

I use 1280x800 on my widescreen 15" laptop, your website works fine

Yes. The complaints were just that they had to scroll the navigation
ikons away to se the image in total. Rather few pixels.

Display size and resolution are not the same. There are quite a
few different and common resolutions around for 15" screens.
Either way, it's your website, do it as you like. If they can't
see them, maybe it will inspire them to upgrade displays, and
then you will be helping out the economy. :-)

Neither one should be a problem. The second is actually more restrictive
because you are always stuck with that frame on the left. I like how the
second includes thumbs on every page but the thumbs on the first are
larger and more meaningful. Take a look at CSS for making rows of thumbs
wrap and shrink to fit any size screen like the thumbs below on this page:

Here's my other web site with larger thumbnails:

The second version doesn't work at all without Javascript.
