Well I am a honest salesman, and will tell the customer when NOT to buy
something or have them think about if they really need to spend the
money on something they are not going to use.
BUT
These people abuse salespeople.
It is fine to have a price in mind. Just tell me and I rather get you
the price than have you WASTE hours of my time, when I could be with
another customer. Plus come back again and again.
People forget the first money a dealership gives away is the salesmans
commission. People think car salesman make thousands on a car or truck.
How about $50.00 for a flat.
Only on used cars do we make any descent commission.
It is just the way these people will use up hours of your time,,,, for
nothing.
AND when they sell something they want a high price. GOD forbid I went
into their store and haggled on price. They would call the police....
What goes around sometimes has to come around.
When I first came home from Vietnam I did some baby photography,
The owner said, if I see a indian's baby's face on the proof's
You are going to pay for the job.
I thought he was crazy, but he wasn't.
Even the best proof passer could not get one of these people to buy
prints of their child, they just took the proofs and smiled and said
thank you.
One time I sold a Kirby to a indian, it took over 5 hours.
When all done I asked him why he bought the Kirby. he said the rug
salesman told him to buy a Kirby and I happened to come to his house.
etc etc etc etc.
