Hi All,

I've been testing the Canon 5D with a Hoya R72 IR filter. The results
are up here
<http://www.dimagemaker.com/article.php?articleID=563>
or you can also find it with the other 16 cameras tested this way here:

Cheers,

Wayne

Not exactly the best choice for IR, is it?

That's why its non IR images, 99.998%, rock.

Bart

P.S. the approx. 0.002% are aliasing and a bit of IR sensitivity
which, apparently, is effectively removed to avoid ruining 99.998% of
the images.

Well it very much depends on the type of IR you want to do. It is not a
good choice for people or things that move (then again basically none
of the recent dSLRs really are good for this, unmodified). For
landscape work, it works well provided you do not mind using a tripod.
And afterall, most people's photography could benefit from using a
tripod :)

Cheers,

Wayne
