I have a Canon G2 and I am having trouble with charging the battery. I
hook up the camera to the charger until the light turns green but the charge
doesn't last long...I haven't counted, maybe 20 pictures until I get the low
battery light. It's a lithium battery, I didn't think they were subject to
the battery "memory" problems with other types of rechargeable batteries.
Any ideas?

You're right. Lithium ion batteries do not have a memory like nickel cadmium
cells. They do , however, have a finite life span. Perhaps your battery is
near the end of its life and needs to be replaced.

Chances are it's a faulty battery, but don't discount the possibility of a
charger issue.
