Oh. I've been using PTGui to straighten my images.

Yes, PTGui, and PTAssembler, and HUGIN, and ..., Panoramic resampling
applications offer better resampling algorithms than Bicubic.
As an example of the effect of repeated rotation resampling
(=cumulative errors) algorithms see:
