Last week, needing a case for my new camera, I paid B&H a visit. And with
the D200 being able to take good pictures at 400 ISO, means I can now get
decent inside pictures of a large space.

So I put up the B&H pictures that I took. Start with this picture:

And then scroll to the next two.

Thanks, Don. It's very reassuring to see that they're a 'real' business.

By the way, photo 18 shows a listing for the Novelty Pom Pom Company. Could
you please get some pictures of the inside of that business? I'm extremely
curious. ;-)

If it's what it sounds like, maybe a shot or two of the end-users
would be in order?

That picture was taken almost five years ago. Searching I find that they
have moved. I find:

"Novelty Pom Pom Co. at 264 W. 40th St. 212 391-9174.. Manufacturers of pom
poms, tassels, braiding, etc. Do sme retail business. Ask for John."

Many regular posters here, myself included, have been in B&H several
times.  It is an experience in itself.

No need to worry about B&H; they were the best camera store in all the land
before anyone had ever heard of the internet.

But they never have a Canon 35L in stock when I have the money....

I think it winds around behind the tsunami demo area.

The pictures didn't even show the main camera section.

Ah, but you didn't get the best part -- the elaborate system of conveyor
belts and hanging baskets that transport purchases from the stockroom to the
checkout.  It looks like a Disneyland ride for camera gear.

Actually that was in one of the pictures.

What's the catalog number of the blimp that's visible in that picture?

:-)
