I have been troubling over this for months, but I suppose it's back to
the Canon/Nikon heavyweight match.

http://www.digitalreview.ca/cams/NikonD70sversusRebelXT.shtml seems to
give a slight edge to the Rebel XT. As Nikon is about to abandon the
Canadian market, and Canon is quite willing to keep taking my money, it
looks like the Rebel XT will be the winner.

Just the local retailers, namely London Drugs. Pretty big retailer.

Drug store processors and camera chain stores are notorious for
mis-information.  I wouldn't believe it.  In fact, we should poke fun at
your for taking your advice from a photo lab with the word "drugs" in its
name.

You folks here are pretty good at doing so anyway. It makes most posts
not worth effort of reading.

London Drugs is a reasonable size Photography/Computer/Electronics retailer
for sure here in Western Canada.  If you're saying Nikon aren't going to
retail any merchandise through them,  I'd like to get some of whatever
you're smoking!
