When Canon announced 30D, they said that it had 2x 20D when it comes to
shutter counts. And for 30D it is 100,000

Do you have a reference for that? The press release as put up on the
bobatkins site is saying "A rugged new shutter fully rated up to 100,000
cycles" for the 30D, but nothing about it being "2x 20D"
